About us
The OrgelKids project was created in collaboration with the Conservatory of Cosenza and Professor Maria Greco.
The goal is to introduce children and young students from primary and secondary schools to the world of the organ and sacred music through concerts, educational games, guided discoveries, and sensory experiences. A significant source of inspiration for the project is the OrgelKids Association (Netherlands).
The project marks the Conservatory of Cosenza as the first conservatory in Italy to invest in early musical education in the field of organ studies.
The Italian organ world today lacks the imagination to invest in its youngest talents. Our aim is to guide them in discovering the organ through their own experiences and emotions, using an alternative educational approach that contrasts with traditional methods, offering new strategies and tools.
Inclusion, skills, knowledge, and abilities—as well as play, fun, and curiosity—are among the key terms in the world of education and methodologies that help students fully develop their competencies.
This project will bring color back to a world almost buried under years of dust and will show today’s children that even an instrument like the organ—usually seen and heard only in church settings (when you're lucky)—can be fun and inspiring.
